BIRGITTA WOLFGANG
Art Photography
“I believe art is a way of looking into my soul and share a part of
myself, always staying faithful to art and myself in the process.”
This philosophy underpins Birgitta’s passion for capturing the moment
as it is and creating something beautiful, honest, an image
transcending a fleeting moment in time.
For the past 30 years and still counting her photographs of unique and
inspiring homes and landscapes around the world have been featured
in a wide range of exclusive, international interior magazines and
books.
On one of these photoshoots in a Bedouin camp in Sahara, the desert
with all its ambiguity inspired her to create the series Desert Moments.
“In the desert, harsh yet beautiful, I saw loneliness and roughness but
also humility, abundance and endless possibilities.”
Seen through Birgitta’s eyes and lens, the heart of the desert emerges
with all its delicate colours, and constant changes in light and
sceneries. In Desert Moments the landscape becomes a metaphor for
her artistic exploration of the concepts of stillness, memories, and her
own inner journey.
“I was always drawn to art photography because it is a space for
creative freedom where thoughts and the moment interact with the
possibility to craft photographic experiences entirely from my point of
view. Hopefully my art gives the viewer an opportunity to connect with
their own emotions. Each piece is more than just an image – it’s an
idea, a story and feelings being passed on. “
